Accidental death & dismemberment

Accidental death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D) can be added to your term life insurance policy to provide extra coverage in the event of an accident. Coverage is available with guaranteed acceptance for members and their spouses who are under the age of 85.

Features and benefits

  • You’re covered if an accident happens in Canada, or while traveling outside the country
  • You choose the maximum benefit payable, either $75,000 or $150,000
  • Benefits are reduced by 50% at age 70, and the plan terminates at age 85
  • You’re covered all day and everywhere – whether at work, home or while on vacation
