Districts are invited to nominate a registered charity that is respected and has a provincial, national, and/or international status. Charitable organizations which have an impact upon seniors will be given priority. RTOERO will contribute annually to a charitable donation of $10,000 to the recipient chosen by the Board of Directors.
The following organizations have received the RTOERO Charitable Donation these past 12 years: Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (NCCT), Toronto General Hospital COVID-19 Research, Sault Search & Rescue (SSAR), Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, Stop Gap Foundation, CanAssist African Relief Trust, Nipissing Serenity Hospice, Alzheimer Society of Ontario, Shelter Box Canada, Sleeping Children around the World, Royal Canadian Regiment Education Fund for Families of Fallen Soldiers, James Bartleman Book Club – Club Amick.
