Women’s group: Mindfulness for beginners

Getting through this winter during COVID will likely be a challenge. Perhaps you are looking for ways to de-stress and connect with other like-minded women.

Bringing mindfulness into our lives enables us to live with more awareness. We practice living in the present moment rather than ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. Through mini-lessons and experiential practices we can learn to reduce stress and increase self compassion.

It is my intention to offer 6 weekly mindfulness sessions, likely starting in November. Each session will last 1.5 hours, consisting of mini-lessons, experiential practices and group sharing. Sessions will take place on Zoom. This program is free and will be capped at 8 participants.

I am a retired teacher/counsellor and have studied mindfulness at U of T. I have also been studying/practicing meditation for almost two years. If interested please contact me at [email protected].
