The Newmarket North Lions Club is constantly looking for volunteers to participate and plan our service activities in the Newmarket area. We have members from the teaching community who already serve in our association and we depend on their organizational and leadership abilties to plan and carry out our service activities, some of which extend to the international community. Lions clubs exist in more than 200 countries around the world and are known for our sight, disaster relief, social/emotional learning in our Lions Quest programs, and our peace initiatives including the Peace Poster contest that we run in conjunction with the United Nations. All monies raised by Lions clubs are 100% returned to their communities. The association runs entirely on members dues which are in the neighbourhood of $100.00 per annum.
