Exciting opportunity to teach English in Tanzania with TEMBO (Tanzania Education and Micro-business Opportunity) during fall 2024 (September 14 – October 11). Volunteer opportunity to teach English to young adolescent boys and girls as they transition from primary school to secondary school. Two and four week blocks; teaching for four hours a day. Great opportunity to work with a team of volunteers as well as local staff. Program has been running for more than 10 years, so lots of resources and materials available.
Volunteers stay in the Longido TEMBO Inn, a safe and secure space offering comfortable rooms (with western style washrooms) and meals provided by local cook. During your stay, you will time to explore the local culture and learn more about programs offered by TEMBO to support girls and education and the empowerment of women during your volunteer stay.
