Peer Bereavement Care Volunteers

Hospice Toronto has an opportunity for you to join our team of Peer Bereavement Care Volunteers to provide one-to-one and group support to people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. If you have experienced the death of a spouse or partner, a child of any age including infants or a parent/sibling, we offer professional training for this meaningful volunteer role.
Peer support is not about counselling or giving advice or trying to fix. It’s about being present with others in their own unique grief experience, creating space for people to share their stories and listening with patience, understanding and empathy because you have “been there”. Virtual/in-person hybrid programs.
To learn more about this and other volunteer roles, attend our next Zoom information session on Tuesday, Feb. 27 6-7:30pm. Register: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0pd-mtrj0jHNH253QAPZsU7vO__51B10hL
