YouthLink’s Pathways to Education is a community based program designed to lower the dropout rate among high-school students from economically disadvantaged communities. The program offers academic, social, financial, and advocacy support in order to increase their opportunity for success in high school and beyond. The role of the Pathways Tutor is to provide academic support and to engage in positive role modeling for youth during program time. During this time of COVID You will work with students from Grade 9 to 12 online.
• Ability to build rapport, make connections, motivate and develop trust
• Be confident and/or have expertise in core subjects including: English, French, Math, History, and Science
• Develop study strategies, organizational, time management skills, actively engage and encourage students
• Valid police reference check is mandatory
