Participants needed! iSTRIDE:​ A Distance-based, Randomized Controlled Trial for Reducing Sedentary Behavior among Prostate Cancer Survivors

The Exercise Oncology Lab (PI: Dr. Linda Trinh) at the University of Toronto has an exciting study opportunity for prostate cancer survivors. The study is testing a distance-based program to help prostate cancer survivors sit less and move more. The study is all done in the comfort of their own homes and no study visits are required.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?​
– Men diagnosed with prostate cancer​
– 18+ years old​
– Engaging in <150 minutes of physical activity/week​
– Not receiving radiation therapy or chemotherapy​

WHAT’S INVOLVED?​
– Three assessments: surveys, a strength test, and wear an activity monitor device for 7 days at each time point​
– 12-week Program: You will be randomly selected to receive a 12-week program and a FitBit OR to only receive a FitBit plus health resources
