Hospice is about quality of life, until the end of life. Become a hospice volunteer and support people in your community to live well at home.
Our team of Hospice Care Companions provide emotional, social and spiritual support, practical assistance and caregiver relief to individuals who are living with a life-limiting illness and to their families. Volunteers visit clients in the home once a week, usually during the day Monday to Friday. We are seeking volunteers who speak a second language in addition to English, especially: Italian, Farsi, Greek, Portuguese, Tagalog, German, Spanish. We welcome English only speakers too. Free, extensive professional training provided in exchange for a one year commitment.
