C.A.N.D.Y. Cafe~ Creating Awareness and Normalizing Death for Youth a Home Hospice Association Program

Don’t let the COVID19 situation stop you from getting involved!
The ideal volunteer for this program is YOU: someone with a wealth of experience communicating and connecting with young people. C.A.N.D.Y. Cafe is a proactive movement helping young people, ages 10 – 18, to understand dying, death and grief as being a part of life and giving them healthy tools to cope. We are looking for Leaders and Facilitators as well as Event Coordinators to help us continue from our Pilot Program which we started last year in Cambridge and Burlington. Events are only held evenings and weekends; no more than 1 per month in a Region. Our onboarding process begins with an online application form and phone interview. By the time we’re ready to hold our Cafe events, our volunteers will have trained as a Team and be ready to hit the ground running!
If you don’t spend all year in Canada or can’t make it to the event each month, that’s okay. Your commitment is to volunteer when you are available.
