RTOERO hosts 3rd annual lobbying day at Queen’s Park

For the third year, RTOERO held an annual lobbying day with the Ontario government at Queen’s Park.

The board of directors, Political Advocacy Committee and senior staff represented RTOERO in a full day of activities:

• Teams met one-on-one with MPPs and government officials to share our issues – geriatric training, elder abuse prevention and age friendly communities
• RTOERO representatives attended and were recognized during the Question Period.
• More than 70 MPPs and their staff attended the RTOERO networking lunch.

All MPPs received an information package about RTOERO and its advocacy issues and activities. Political advocacy volunteers in local districts will follow up the annual event with meetings in community constituency offices.
