Starting July 1, 2025, members of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) can access RTOERO’s top-rated Entente Group Insurance Program through a new partnership. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to serving the education community and supporting those in leadership roles through meaningful benefits.
“This partnership is grounded in our belief in a better future – together,” says John Cappelletti, Chair of RTOERO. “It’s about strengthening the well-being of those we serve and building connections to support the common good.”
As part of the agreement, active OCSTA members who apply by Aug. 31, 2025, will be accepted into the plan without a medical questionnaire. After that date, guaranteed acceptance will continue for those already enrolled in a group insurance plan. Members applying without existing group coverage will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire.
The Entente program includes extended health care with comprehensive travel coverage. Members have flexible options to add dental and hospital coverage, and they can choose between single, couple and family coverage.
OCSTA members who join also become RTOERO members and receive all membership benefits, including social activities, scholarships, community grant programs, leadership and community-building roles, learning content, advocacy platform, and curated discounts and perks.
This new partnership follows a significant milestone for RTOERO. Earlier this year, the Board of Directors approved a name change for the organization: as of Jan. 1, 2026, RTOERO will become Entente Education Canada.
“Entente is a bilingual word that speaks to agreement, understanding and shared purpose,” says Jim Grieve, CEO of RTOERO. “It reflects who we are and where we’re headed. It’s rooted in our belief that meaningful progress happens when we move forward together. Agreements like this one with OCSTA demonstrate the power of collaboration to support the well-being of individuals while strengthening community overall.”
RTOERO is a bilingual trusted voice on healthy, active living in the retirement journey for the broader education community.
