Journaling your way to wellness

Journaling can seem like a broad term. That is because there are so many different kinds of journaling to choose from, and the best part is that every one of them can benefit you! If you haven’t tried journaling yet, here is a list of the most popular types of journals to help get you started:

Bullet Point Journal – Many people simply use a journal to help keep themselves on task and to assist with goalsetting. This type of journal is a great way to keep track of what you have accomplished and when.

Experience/Theme Journal – Garden journal, food journal, travel journal. Many find it helpful and enjoyable to have a journal that focuses on one specific topic. This type of journal can even transition into a blog, where you can share your travel, food or garden stories and opinions with the online world.

Writing Journal – This is perfect for someone who wants to develop his or her own storytelling abilities. It also helps you take note of your emotions. One way to start entries in this type of journal is with writing prompts, “I am always surprised by…” or “I am very proud of…” for example.

Gratitude Journal  This journal focuses on the things we are thankful for, it reminds us how lucky and fortunate we are.  People get so busy that they forget to stop and take a moment to appreciate life’s daily blessings.
