Some of our members are contract or casual employees in education and don’t have insurance coverage through work. Or, their employment may be ending before their retirement date because of layoffs. If you’re dealing with either of these situations, we may be able to help.
You need to be at least 50 years old to be eligible for our group insurance plans, plus you’ll need to meet the rest of our eligibility criteria.
If you’re not currently covered under a group plan through work or a spouse’s plan, our late applicant process would apply to you.
If you are covered under a group plan but that plan will be ending, then you will apply for insurance using our regular applicant process. Make sure to apply within 60 days of your previous insurance ending for automatic approval.
