Roots of Empathy is an innovative, evidence-based program that develops empathy in children so they can build the world that they deserve. Our elementary school program is proven to reduce aggression, including bullying and promotes caring, kindness, inclusion, resilience, and positive mental health in children.
As a retired educator, we know that you support our mission of building caring, peaceful and civil societies, so we are excited to share this important volunteer opportunity with you.
Roots of Empathy is currently recruiting Volunteer Instructors to support our programs throughout Ontario. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of children in your community, this could be it!
• New Instructors attend a 4-day in-person training
• Programs are delivered in a local school starting in the fall and run for 27 visits throughout the school year.
• All Instructors are connected with a supportive Mentor and learning opportunities
