HCAS TUTORING OPPORTUNITY

The Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton was established in 1894 as a not-for-profit charitable organization, mandated under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act of Ontario, focusing on the well-being and protection of children. We are currently seeking experienced and skilled individuals to provide:

TUTORING SERVICES

$30.00 – $40 per hour

OUR TUTORING PROGRAM:

The goal, through a tutoring program, is to have every child in the care of the Society to reach their potential, and for some this includes participation in post-secondary studies.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Providing one to one tutoring with a maximum of 3 hours per week per student.

• Reviewing educational assessments available and be in contact with the classroom teacher/LRT/student success staff to obtain information regarding the student’s strengths and areas of need. Tutoring should
